Applicant Requirements
The main requirement is a minimum age of 16, an active Discord account, and genuine interest in the gaming community. Previous moderation experience is a bonus, not a necessity.
- Minimum age 16 years (no exceptions, applies to all positions)
- Genuine passion for games and the gaming scene — not just interest in the admin title
- Good communication skills in English, Slovak, or Czech; ability to resolve conflicts
- Commitment to at least 5 hours of regular community activity per week
- Previous moderation experience (Discord, Minecraft, Twitch) is an advantage
Team Member Responsibilities
Every team member moderates the community, enforces rules, helps members, and collaborates with colleagues to improve the overall experience.
- Actively moderate Discord and game servers — maintain a positive atmosphere
- Answer newcomer questions, resolve technical connection issues
- Consistently enforce community rules without favoritism
- Collaborate with the team on events, server updates, and community growth
Open Positions
Head Admin
Leads the team, decides on the strategic direction of the community, resolves staff disputes. Requires at least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
Admin
Manages game servers, resolves technical issues, issues long-term sanctions for rule violations.
Moderator
Supervises Discord and in-game chat, resolves common conflicts, issues mutes or short-term bans.
Helper
Helps new players, answers questions about servers, plugin commands, and connecting. Ideal entry-level position.
Builder
Creates maps, events, and building projects for Minecraft and Hytale. Requires a portfolio of examples.
How to Apply
Applications are accepted exclusively through the Discord ticket system. We do not ask for email, you do not need a CV, and the whole process takes 5 minutes.
- Join our official Discord — open the link avalonia.sk/discord.
- In the #tickets channel, click "Open Ticket" and select the "Recruitment" category.
- In the ticket, provide: your age, the position you are interested in, previous experience, and a brief summary of why you want to join.
- Wait for the team response — we usually reply within 48 hours. A short voice channel interview follows.
Important: All positions in the Avalonia team are volunteer-based and unpaid. Recruitment is open only to players aged 16+ with genuine interest in the gaming community — not people seeking only a title or power over others. New members are in a 3-month probation period after acceptance.
